This 3-hour assessment appointment provides a detailed exploration of ADHD traits, past and present using the Diagnostic Interview for ADHD in adults (DIVA-5). I will ask about your experiences with, for example, maintaining concentration, planning, distractability, forgetfulness, restlessness and impulsivity. We will discuss any areas of your life that have been impacted by these characteristics, and how long they have been present
Information will also be gathered about your family background, early years, mental and physical health and education and employment. I'll also ask about your strengths, talents and interests to shine a light on what makes you "you".

You are welcome to attend alone or to bring a family member or friend to support and offer input.

Please note: If you plan to seek ADHD medication should you receive a diagnosis, it may be advisable to be assessed by a psychiatrist or nurse prescriber who can offer you that service. As a psychologist, I do not prescribe medication and whilst it is possible to access medication following my assessments, NHS services and policies vary.
